In 2025, it will be 55 years since forest machine entrepreneur Einari Vidgren founded the Ponsse forest machine factory in his home municipality of Vieremä, Finland. Throughout its operations, this Finnish family business has focused on the development, production, and services of cut-to-length forest machines. All forest machines are manufactured in Vieremä, but Ponsse feels at home around the world, as the company currently operates in logging sites in almost 40 countries.
The Ponsse story has been told around the world for 55 years. Who would have thought that the mixed-breed and low-bodied Ponsse dog that roamed the village of Vieremä would still remember its name decades later? During the spring of 2025, a total of six 55th anniversary events were held in Finland. The logging tour, which traveled across the Finland, was organized where our customers are: at logging sites around the country.
The tour started in Vesilahti and continued its journey through Varkaus to Vieremä, from there to Mänttä-Vilppula, and finally through Rantsila to Rovaniemi. The events featured a total of 18 logging demos, and they were attended by over 2,000 customers and partners.
